Being a military child, I’d never been to a little town like Fredericksburg before. When I first arrived in 1995 I felt right at home immediately. Curious as to why, I reached out to my family members only to find out I had family lineage in Fredericksburg! That’s when I knew I was where I was meant to be.

Whitaker Wood Floors started after the birth of our first child on Christmas Eve, 2005. Having apprenticed under another wood floor craftsman for five years, it was time to pursue my dreams of owning my own business. I started getting jobs working with local home owners and custom builders in Fredericksburg. Now, with over 20 years of experience, the help of great staff and wonderful community of Fredericksburg, and a dedication to customer satisfaction, I’ve been able to grow my business and become more prosperous every year. Since then, my family has also grown in size, now totaling seven!
